# Copyright certification

Copyright certification permanently records authorship of your characters. You can use it as legal evidence of authorship if there is a dispute over a character or content made from that character.

1. Create a character from the Character menu on the left.
2. Under **My characters**, select the character to certify.
3. Click **View info**.
4. Click **Register copyright certification**.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
6. Certified content shows a copyright protection badge and is provided with related certification information.
